Our Mission
Founded by board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Drew Ratner—a former collegiate athlete and dedicated clinician—American Orthopedics is one of Greenville’s only independent orthopedic practices. It provides personalized, accessible, and efficient care in a market that has become increasingly dominated by inefficient and impersonal hospital systems.
Dr. Ratner has multiple areas of clinical expertise and uses the most advanced surgical techniques available. His background includes fellowship training in sports medicine, and years of experience and specialty training in anterior hip replacement, robotic knee replacement, and total shoulder replacement. He has had over a decade of experience with providing orthopedic trauma care at multiple hospitals throughout the country and is well versed in treating a variety of fracture types.
All ages, all injuries are welcome at American Orthopedics.
Dr. Ratner maximizes nonoperative treatment when possible. In the instance when surgical intervention is needed, he has expertise in a wide array of procedures, including sports medicine, joint arthroplasty, and fracture surgeries.
"We deliver a concierge-style experience supported by advanced orthopedic training and surgical techniques."
